A Montauk Sea Shanty — Captain Jack's Family Jewels
Made up entirely of photographs, taken over the last few years, of boats in various marinas in Montauk. I am fascinated with the stories behind boat names, so started collecting them. Hundreds of words later, I realized there was a story to be told and the best way to honor the names, would be with an original sea shanty about a naughty sailor in Montauk.

‘Miss Montauk Baby Jane’ is a story of a woman on a journey of self-discovery and love. The sea shanty charts Baby Janes voyage to Montauk and her subsequent experiences with the men in the town — some ugly, some bad, and finally, one good. ‘Miss Montauk Baby Jane’ was created using 238 photos of boats docked in Montauk Marinas and footage I’ve taken while working as a deckhand aboard the FV Anna Mary. It’s the opposite point of view from ‘Captain Jack’s Family Jewels’ a sea shanty about a rascal Montauk fisherman.

In exchange for working as a deckhand on the lobster boat FV Anna Mary out of Montauk, NY; I get to film the men at work. This cut focuses on my first few trips with them, where I discover the beauty and terror of commercial fishing, and how to poop in a bucket while not falling overboard.

Things I get up to — My daily walk on the beach
Living full-time in Montauk over Covid, has felt like Groundhog Day. Wandering around outdoors with my camera, I was doing the same thing again and again, trying to create a rhythm that I had lost from not working constantly. But when I looked at the footage, I realized that Montauk had been constantly changing around me. So I made a series of videos of my life here.

‘All the Nuts Rolled to Montauk’ is a collection of stories that could only happen in Montauk.

Things I get up to — Hanging out at my favorite spot in Montauk
In March 2021 I had lived full-time in Montauk for a year and boy, has it felt like Groundhog Day. I made a series of videos of life over the seasons here, and the second one is dedicated to all my friends and foes that make an appearance.
Video recap: SALAD DAYS Montauk Movie Premiere
Over 150 adults and kids showed up for the Movie Premiere of Salad Days. We had a mountain of free pizza and my darling friend Colin baked 100 brownies for the kids, because it was also my birthday! After the films, Colin (Jost of SNL fame) and I co-hosted a Q&A with my two superstars. I had prepped the questions with them and they did a pretty good job coming up with some great answers. Colin compared me to Kim Jong-un which everybody thought was spot on. The event was so popular we did the whole thing twice, last-minute adding a second showing. I don’t want to boast but it was the best event of the summer.

The Usual Conversations: Jimmy Goldberg
Meet Jimmy “Is My Board Done Yet” Goldberg—the best, and only, surfboard ding repairman in Montauk. Given our stellar surfing skills, we’re at Jimmy’s more often than we’re actually in the water. It was no surprise then that in the hours we spent watching our boards get bandaged back to health he became our default therapist. Here, we dig into Jimmy’s life experiences – ship scuttling, commercial vs. sport fishing, boozing, and his passion for surfing.
MONTAUKOSAURUS — stop motion animation
I’ve been collecting interesting bones from my beach walks for years, without being sure why I was so interested in them. Recently it struck me was that it was because I wondered what animal or fish or bird they were. On a lonely Sunday, I started archiving them and realized there was a monster to be made. So this is my first stop motion test of the ‘Montaukosaurus’.
