In late October 2020, Music for Montauk musicians Annaliesa Place, Ani Kalayjian, Benjamin Fingland, and Miloš Repicky came together to film record three movements from Olivier Messiaen's "Quartet for the End of Time" at the Edward F. Albee Foundation Barn and at Camp Hero State Park.

Olivier Messiaen composed the "Quartet for the End of Time" in 1940 under the harsh conditions of Stalag VIII/A prisoner-of-war camp in Görlitz, Germany. On January 15th, 1941, amid humanity's darkest moments, four musicians premiered the piece for an audience of prisoners, German officers and prison guards. 80 years later to the day, Music for Montauk explores this luminary work in a special film project, recorded live in Montauk by director Emily Anderson.
