Video Recap: Emily throws herself a film festival.

What an incredible night! Over 150 adults and kids showed up for the Movie Premiere of Salad Days. I showed two other Montauk films — Captain Jacks Family Jewels and One hundred miles to Montauk. The two young stars of the film also shot and edited movies to show. Local grom Chase Lieder showed a new surf edit shot over this summer in Montauk and local pro snowboarder, skater, surfer Noah Avallone showed a snowboarding cut from his winter season. We had a mountain of free pizza and a friend baked 100 brownies for everyone, because it was also my birthday! After the films, Colin (Jost of SNL fame) and I co-hosted a Q&A with my two superstars. I had prepped the questions with them and they did a pretty good job coming up with some great answers. Colin compared me to Kim Jong-un which everybody thought was spot on. The event was so popular we did the whole thing twice, last-minute adding a second showing. I don’t want to boast but it was the best event of the summer. Thanks to Hero Beach Club for the venue, Best Pizza for the pizzas, and Colin Jost for the brownies.
